Developing abstract designs from nature is evident in this Five Pod Jade Sculpture designed and first carved in 1980.

In the pursuing decades two more refinements have evolved, each version subtly maturing from the previous.

The essence of a life force is suggested by the multi-textured surface, from gloss to matt and the center negative form purposely open.

The suspension cord threaded around the sculpture leaving the opening unrestricted so as to not block movement, indicating an unencumbered energy flow.

The partly concealed suspension system for this carving is not visible when viewed when worn.
